Job Description



The person in this position supports all Scientific Games Gaming equipment and associated hardware/software.  Efficiently and effectively handle customer service inquires.  Provides prompt resolution to all support related calls.

Job Requirements



Essential Job Functions:
• Provides on call 24/7 support when designated as the on call representative.
• Ensures all tools and equipment used by the employee are kept in proper, safe, and working condition.
• Analyze operational difficulties and gather information to isolate causes of failure or problems.
• Complete required Astea/Oracle records in an accurate, concise, and clear manner.
• Review customer issues with team lead and supervisor, as they arise.
• Seek out information to become proficient on new product rollouts.
• Stay current with all Field Advisories and Technical Bulletins.
• Maintain current knowledge of Gaming products and services.
• Supports and troubleshoots customer and employee problems to determine if the problem is hardware, software, or procedural.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Training and/or Experience:
• One-year experience in a technical capacity related to the computer field, customer service, or casino operations.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent customer service, gaming or IT experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by law.
• Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required.
• Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and hand power tools.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of PC operations.
• Demonstrate basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and service manuals.
• Must have acute color perception.
• Ability to work as a technical professional in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain good customer relations, internal and external.
• Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type equipment.
• Basic knowledge of current Gaming equipment to the assembly level.
• Proven strong customer service skills and possess the ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations.
• Ability to build positive interpersonal relationships and contribute as a member of the team.
• Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
