Job Description



The position will be multi-disciplinary and focus on assisting with federal and state income tax returns and related calculations. The position will require interaction with the tax team, corporate accounting group, and other business groups within the company and will report directly to the Tax Manager or Tax Senior Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
• Assist in the preparation/review of consolidated federal tax returns
• Assist in the preparation/review of combined, consolidated or separate state tax returns, including apportionment, workpaper review, computation of blended state tax rate, analytics, etc.
• Gather data for income tax return preparation & other reporting requirements, as necessary
• Assist in the preparation/review of federal and state combined, consolidated or separate extensions
• Assist in the calculation and preparation/review of quarterly estimated tax payments
• Assist in the calculation/review of return to provision adjustments
• Assist in preparation of international portions of US federal tax return (ie. 8858s, 5471s, etc.)
• Assist in various international and domestic calculations required for completion of tax return (ie. FTC, UNICAP, R&D Credits, Subpart F, etc.)
• Assist in maintenance of tax depreciation books and records
• Review, research and assist with correspondence from taxing authorities
• Assist in quarterly and annual income tax provision process
• Stay abreast of latest changes in tax law and implement these changes into the workpapers to facilitate preparation of return and provision process
• Research technical issues as needed and present conclusions to management
• Continuous process improvement through recommending and implementing efficiencies Effectively manage multiple priorities
• Meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• 3 plus year(s) of corporate income tax experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problems-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong technical knowledge related to the preparation and review of US federal and state income tax returns
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• International tax experience a plus
• OneSource software experience preferred
• Experience in deferred tax accounting and knowledge of US GAAP requirements related to tax issues preferred
• Accounting experience with a “big 4” firm a plus
• CPA certification a plus

Physical Requirements: Office Environment

Work Conditions:  Some evenings and weekends may be requires as needed.
