Job Description



The person in this position is responsible for installation of player tracking systems and assisting clients by installing software and hardware related to upgrades, installations, and field services.  The person in this position is generally onsite after a field service technician completes initial basic installation.  This position is expected to follow through with problem resolution techniques. The person in this position may also act as the lead for the project installation.

Essential Job Functions:
•Provides high-quality customer service to clients
•Answers questions about software/hardware installed at customer sites
•Specializes in connection issues and understands how most users interface with the software/hardware
•Partners with systems personnel, as needed, to resolve client issues
•Upgrades customer software to newer versions
•Instructs customers in the use of the software/hardware
•Follows-up with customers, as needed
•Tests new software before upgrading customer systems
•Provides support to other Scientific Games personnel, as needed
•Troubleshoots software, hardware, and network configuration for clients having problems installing, using, or upgrading software/hardware
•Logs calls and issues with customers and keeps track of actions taken
•Recommends solutions to frequently occurring problems with the software
•Remains abreast of new technology and software
•Works with other staff members to resolve problems and review suggested/requested site software changes for appropriate approvals and site needs
•Travels to customer sites to assist or train them on the software/hardware

Job Requirements



Education:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•Marketing classes or background preferred

Required Experience:
Three years’ experience in a technical capacity related to computers and casino operations

,b>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Knowledge of slot machine repair
•Understanding of basic networking
•Understanding of basic electronics
•Working knowledge of UNIX, Microsoft software applications, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft SQL, networking preferred
•Knowledge of slot machine surveillance preferred
•Knowledge of cage and audit procedures preferred
•Problem solving skills
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work with little or no supervision
•Ability to lead a project and instruct other technicians
•Road Warrior-travel up to 80%

Physical Requirements:
The work conditions are representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for extended period of times.
