Job Description

The person in this position will be responsible for  daily activities and provide support for game shipment scheduling and/or parts shipment scheduling.  This person will ensure the accuracy of shipment scheduling, will be required to follow all domestic and international compliance and shipping procedures, as well as coordinate development of staff, work assignments and training records.

Duties include coordinating shipment details, changes and follow-up with customer service representatives, warehouse personnel and freight carriers/forwarders and ensuring that shipment quality remains the department’s top priority while maintaining or improving on time delivery and controlling cost.

Essential Job Functions:
•Responsible for overseeing the scheduling of all outbound orders using various shipping methods.
•Determine shipment requirements and generate load plans.
•Create and maintain accurate shipping documents.
•Ensure shipments are compliant with all gaming regulations.
•Coordinate shipments with transportation suppliers and arrange for pickup of customer orders.
•Works effectively with other departments to schedule deliveries and pick-up of returned products.
•Maintain open lines of communication within and between departments.
•Responsible for the development and training of shipping personnel using best practices supported by policy and procedures.
•Resolve document problems for customers, freight forwarders, finance, customer service and customs.
•Monitor and prioritize workload throughout the day.
•Monitor time and attendance, schedule vacation, and complete daily time clock approvals.
•Complete all required audit and verification responsibilities per schedule.
•Responsible for supervision, mentorship, training and recognition of employees.
•Develop and maintain standard work and processes that promote lean standards and support customers.
•Identify and report performance metrics as it relates to department goals and objectives.
•Participate in the development of the Shipping Department policies, procedures, and working instructions.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Strong knowledge of Oracle Warehouse and Transportation Management.
•Ability to understand transit times and methods of shipment.
•Ability to provide and document information related to shipments.
•Strong telephone, verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to interpret and follow complex work instructions.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
•Ability to coach and lead teams effectively.
•Strong project management and leadership skills.
•Demonstrate ability to work effectively in various settings.
•Ability to multi-task is required.
•Strong problem solving skills.
•Strong analytical skills.

Physical Requirements: Warehouse environment

Work Conditions:  
•Requires occasional weekends and evening hours.
•Need to be available for support during off hours, weekends and holidays.
