Job Summary:

The Senior Analytics Engineer is responsible for maintaining and collecting data from all our products and using that data to make informed decisions about game economies. This position will be required to work alongside different teams to help them meet their goals using measured, scientific tests.

Essential Job Functions:

•Identify potential solutions and work alongside Development teams to determine technical feasibility and level-of-effort to implement
•Efficiently gather data using available tools to investigate game economies
•Analyze data using Excel or other statistical tools to ensure validity and accuracy of data being collected
•Identify areas of opportunity from analysis and brainstorm creative solutions with team
•Participate in relevant project meetings
•Identify new tools/improved processes to aid the Analytics team for each game in delivering data more efficiently
•Communicate infrastructure changes to affected teams and ensure successful adaptation of those changes

Job Requirements


Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or equivalent experience

Required Experience:
•Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Big Data analytics and querying Big Data
•Minimum 3-5 years of experience using Statistics or Economics to develop math models
•Working knowledge of Macroeconomic concepts
•Experience with Amazon AWS a plus

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Advanced SQL/HQL/MySQL
•Other statistical analysis tools a plus (e.g. Minitab, SAS/SPSS, R, Tableau etc.)
•Clear and effective communication of complex ideas and analysis
•Ability to work with little direction, self-directed
•Active learner, motivated to learn without guidance
•Critical thinking and creative problem solving

Work Conditions:  May require weekend and/or evening hours and travel
