Job Description



The Senior Analyst SOX Controls assists the Manager SOX Controls and Accounting Policy who is the primary owner of the Scientific Games Internal Control Documentation / Framework and Self-Assessment Activities as well as assisting in the rollout of Global Accounting Policy. The primary focus will be the Monthly SOC Control execution, Quarterly Self-Assessments and updating of the SOX controls / process flows accordingly. Adhoc assistance with monthly close or analysis as needed.

Essential Job Functions:
•Collaborate with groups of employees within Controllers Staff and Finance/Operations when planning, executing and assessing SOX financial reporting and disclosure control testing
•Monitor compliance with Company Accounting Policies and internal control frameworks
•Support the company in monitoring for changes in business which impact internal controls over financial reporting, IT and entity level controls; develop common processes and streamline processes and controls
•Research internal control issues and collaborate with the business on appropriate remediation
•Prepare, analyze, evaluate, and document internal controls testing assessments and results
•Perform SOX program scoping, planning, and review activities and program training material development and delivery
•Drive process improvements for greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency
•Communicate with co-workers, management, customers and others in a courteous and professional manner
•Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Education:
•BA/BS in Accounting, Business or Finance

Required Experience:
•SOX and internal controls experience, Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
•General Understanding of application and system access controls, and COSO framework

Preferred Experience:
•Prior experience from a public accounting firm a plus
•Prior gaming industry experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills with strong achievement focus and commitment to deliver results
•Ability to work on multiple projects under tight time constraints and to network and collaborate cross-functionally
•Ability to deal with imperfect information and ambiguity
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated clarity in spoken and written words.
•Strong Excel knowledge and proficiency with other Microsoft Applications
•Analytical skills necessary to develop factual reports and present findings through data-gathering, interpretation, compilation, and analysis of information

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to travel both domestic / internationally to assess / document the current SOX framework process and workflows and deploy companywide SOX controls through risk assessment analysis’
