Job Description



This position will support the Royalty Manager with all their duties, including the day to day tracking and reporting of royalties within both the Alliant and Bally royalty systems.

Essential Job Functions:
• Work with the Royalty Manager to manage the Alliant royalty system (as well as the Bally royalties once transitioned over). This includes the following categories of licenses – brand, music, talent, game dev, and patent (excluding all others, i.e. software)
o Entry of contracts into Alliant systems.
o Maintain contract setups in applicable systems such as themes, theme lists, order types, order type lists, assets.
o Assist with and maintain master data in Alliant system. Such as customer data, Serial numbers, currency codes, territories etc.
• Master data source information from Oracle is created and imported by the BI/IT team on a monthly basis. Until the Bally data is functioning in the same manner, this position will be maintaining and adding new Bally serial numbers, themes and customers to be able to import the monthly transactional data received.
o Scope and configure new system setups for new business lines/types to appropriately map to contracts for royalty calculations and reporting. Working with business units and IT to determine where the transactional information will be coming from and the business needs.
o Review and complete imports of monthly transactional data into Alliant (All International, domestic, Interactive and any new business lines)
o Run and review monthly Alliant “Accrual” process for accuracy.
o Provide finance with list of liability to book on a monthly basis for contracts that have exceeded the MG’s and have payments due.
o Scope new needs on an ongoing basis. New contracts, new calculations, new business, new reporting requirements.
o Liaison with RSS (Real Software Systems).
• Royalty report processing and review.
o Work with the Royalty Manager to manage the royalty reporting process including processing and reviewing of royalty reports and submission of payment requests to the finance department.
o Assist the Royalty Manager as a contact with licensors for reporting questions and issues.
• Assist with coordinating royalty audit review and analysis.
o Finance to provide source data as required. Invoices, customer contracts, billing history, inventory records, payment backup, etc.
• Assist with the monthly maintenance of the future payments schedule for MGs.
• Assist with the prep of needed reporting and analysis for management
o Tracking of license financial performance including minimum guarantees, guarantee balances, advance and guarantee payments, review of licenses where full MG not likely to be out earned to support licensing team working with BU’s to optimize exploitation of all brands and finance with write downs and write offs. Provide a quarterly update on MG earnout across all licenses.
o Coordinate reporting for Brand licenses by business unit/Brand including revenue to royalty earned analysis.
o Provide actual earned royalties by business unit by license for finance team to track against internal MG allocations.
o Support for forecasting of future earned royalties.
• Coordinate Ad Hoc requests for royalty information.
• Assist with the contract review with licensing team
o Coordinate efforts with licensing, royalty team, game development and others to maintain list of active contracts to reduce/eliminate risk of missing reporting and payments.
o Review of Legal Review forms received from Game Producers.
• Assist with the preparation, and regularly updating, of procedural documentation

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree. Previous relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Ability to read and understand license agreements, understanding of basic accounting principles, analytical reasoning, attention to detail, proactive questioning to ensure data received is correct, basic understanding of the product distribution and associated financial models for all gaming channels, ability to handle time pressures, excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of both internal and external stakeholders
• Working knowledge of the following programs – Alliant, Oracle, Excel (strong knowledge), Business Objects
