Position Summary:

The Promotions Manager provides support to the Lottery in the management of their terminal based games portfolio.  The position will work with the Lottery and in-state Marketing staff to develop an annual promotions plan, leveraging industry-wide lottery data to ensure effective and well-researched promotions.  This position will ensure all scheduled promotions are developed, tested, evaluated and executed.

Job Functions:

• Monitor and analyze game sales and trends looking for areas of concern regarding game performance.
• Ability to present new promotional ideas and capabilities to the Lottery, leveraging lessons learned from domestic and international lottery jurisdictions.
• Works closely with the Lottery to determine the games targeted for support needs by analyzing the sales performance and trends of each game.
• In collaboration with the Lottery, develops promotion plans and identifies promotion goals
• In collaboration with the Business Intelligent Analyst, evaluates promotion performance to determine ROI and potential modifications for future initiatives.
• Maintaining a Maryland-specific promotion catalog that includes promotion details on ROI evaluations
• Creates procedures to track and implement each promotion to ensure timely implementation
• Reviews all promotional literature provided to the retailers and sales staff for accuracy.
• Work with other departments in support of site sales and support goals
• Travel to lottery locations and corporate locations on an as needed basis
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or three years equivalent experience within the field


• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products, including, but not limited to, ACCESS, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of analytical software is desired.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Ability to work in a team-office environment
• Ability to operate office equipment, but not limited to, personal computer and telephone
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described
