The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of electrical systems throughout the Alpharetta production. Acting as the contact for emergency situations that affect Scientific Games ability to operate for business. Additionally, the Maintenance Electrician will assess and consider daily the safety of our equipment and facility, security of our assets and the safety to our employees. This position will, when needed, cooperate with outside contractors and vendors for various services and support.

Job Functions:

• Maintain and resolve all mechanical and electro-mechanical problems on equipment such as on the printing press, conveyor systems, shrink wrap, heat tunnels and packaging systems.
• Complete necessary preventative and repair maintenance within required time frame and costs.
• Performs construction electrical work.
• Read and understand blueprints for production machinery.
• Possess a general understanding of electrical principals and circuit prints.
• Acts as the primary response for any production or facility equipment related issues including but not limited to climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs.
• Assists with mechanical functionality and immediately responds to production emergencies.
• Completes all job function related paper work including but not limited to work orders, shift log entries, shift detail cards, requisitions and managed inventory logs in a timely manner.
• May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and facility construction projects.
• Overtime as required.
• Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties necessary to maintain functional work space integrity.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of Industrial & Electronics Maintenance experience (or the education equivalent) with hands on knowledge of machinery, basic electrical and electronics with an understanding of machine control systems.
• Certificate by trade school or equivalent work experience related to industrial electrical maintenance.
• PLC controlled machinery experience required
• Certified Electrician a plus
• Cervo/AC Drive experience a plus
• HVAC experience a plus
• Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance a plus


• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50
• Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors.
• Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans.
• Must have basic understanding of how things work (process-related).
• Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
• Ability to use specialized test/diagnostic equipment, powered and non-powered tools.
• Familiar with lockout/tag out/energy isolation procedures
• Must be able to travel to various work-site locations.
• Ability to comprehend specification manuals.
