Job Description



Computes and disburses wages and salaries, deductions, taxes and other payroll related withholdings. Posts payroll data and prepares routine and ad hoc reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance companies and others. Calculates and processes special checks, reviews, edits and makes corrections and adjustments as needed. Other duties including balancing and controlling earnings and deduction totals, inspecting automated system output such as registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions, preparing and filing tax reports, gathering payroll data for inclusion in financial statements, and researching and preparing special reports for management, calculating disability, military and jury duty pay, and processing garnishments and levies.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process and reconcile weekly and bi-weekly payrolls in a timely manner; coordinating additional payrolls as needed.
• Maintain payroll records for wage garnishments, 401k and other benefit deductions.
• Preparation of electronic file provided to Fidelity for 401k contributions, match and loans.
• Process and payment of non-standard wages: commissions, bonus, wellness, expense reimbursements, relocations.
• Prepare monthly payroll journal entries.
• Create reports using ADP Reporter and MS Excel.
• Support Equity compensation vesting and exercise processing.
• Create reports using ADP Reporter and MS Excel.
• Support audit process for both internal and external auditors.
• High level of integrity and maturity essential due to sensitive nature of the information.
• ADP PayForce, ADP eTime and/or Workday Payroll preferred.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and recommend solutions to improve payroll processing function
• Follow-up on tax filing or payroll problems
• Reconcile quarterly tax reporting and year-end W2s
• Assist employees with payroll inquiries
• Backup for International payrolls (UK, Canada and Australia)
• Timesheet maintenance and distribution
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Education:  High School diplom and 3+ years experience required

Required Experience:

• 3 years of payroll or payroll related experience or has demonstrated similar skill set as required from a payroll staff
• Past experience has demonstrated a high level of integrity and maturity

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Detail oriented, organized and able to communicate across functional departments.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, attitude and high integrity.
• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite and internet based applications.
• Work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of service.
• Team player.
