Job Description

The person in this position under the direct supervision of the Materials Supervisor, picks, packs, and identifies parts used in the manufacturing process.  Successfully moves material throughout the facility, completes appropriate paperwork, and conducts material audits

Essential Job Functions:
• Performs stock room functions including picking parts, stock maintenance, and inventory operations
• Moves material throughout facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack)
• Conducts material audits and performs visual or detailed inspections of materials as needed.  Notifies Lead Person of discrepancies
• Receives daily instruction from lead
• Completes appropriaAte paperwork.
• Prepares goods for shipment, including staging, loading, and documentation
• Delivers the correct material to the appropriate areas
• Refills bins if restocking is needed
• Maintains proper housekeeping throughout the entire shift to ensure safety
• Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Works responsibly and efficiently, adhering to all safety rules and policies

Job Requirements

Training and/or Experience:
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Training of proper use of equipment
• High school graduate or equivalent, must be able to verify

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Basic reading and mathematical skills
• Ability to operate RF scanners and simple hand tools
• Ability to operate forklift, hand pallet jack, electric pallet, and ET cart

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis and up to 100 lbs on occasion
• Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time, noise levels will vary but typically can be moderate to loud
• Overtime work could be involved and will be required as needed
• Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the warehouse for extended periods of time
• Use of arms, hands, legs and back is required for repetitive motions of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting
• Position requires the ability to climb ladders and or onto equipment
