Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Specifically focused on instant products and assigned to one high-profile customer, the Marketing Manager will integrate as part of an account team consisting of the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, a Regional Vice President of Sales, and Client Services personnel.  Primary direction will come from the Vice President of Strategic Marketing.  There is great potential for advancement on this team for the right candidate.
As part of this team, the Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development of data-driven, revenue-generating solutions.  He or she must also be comfortable presenting those solutions at all levels of a customer’s organization
Operating at the intersection of analyst and consultant, the Strategic Marketing Manager will help SG clients identify and evaluate critical marketing strategy issues by conducting deep market analyses to generate insights around product, promotion, retail, digital and more.  A balance of strategic skills to identify market opportunities and trends, as well as tactical pragmatic marketing implementation skills are needed to build relationships, get customer buy-in and execute the strategic account plan.  This requires the ability to balance customer and company needs to create win-win solutions.
This person must be able to demonstrate possession of a well-developed marketing toolkit including market segmentation, consumer research and go-to-market skills.  He or she must monitor and analyze game trends and activities, as well as coordinate market research efforts between the Lottery and Scientific Games’ Insights team.
Instant scratch games thrive on healthy, balanced product portfolios.  Therefore, this individual will play an integral role in establishment of the annual portfolio and will provide on-going maintenance and tracking.  He or she will recommend solutions for declining game performance through promotions, enhancements, replacements or retirement of games.
This person will be responsible for reporting the status and results of marketing activities back to the team.  He or she will be required to support procurement initiatives as needed, including written marketing plans, pricing discussions and account coordination across

• Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in all aspects of developing and managing strategic marketing and campaign plans
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
• Ability to distinguish trends from fads in the marketplace and apply those insights
• Technical marketing skills, including ability to write comprehensive marketing plans
• Proven experience in customer and market research
• Digital marketing experience desired
• Experience with government procurement processes, a plus
• Experience with relevant software applications
o Advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word required
o Experience with Tableau a plus
• Drive results through independent thinking, collaboration and influence
• Trust and integrity
• Accountability
• Lottery or gaming product and industry knowledge a plus
• 25-30% Travel required; at least 1 week per month off-site
