Job Summary:
The person in this position leads and coordinates manufacturing engineering assignments to improve existing manufacturing processes and establish the manufacturing methods and layouts of new products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To plan, support and lead projects or tasks related to Manufacturing Engineering including:
• Improve existing manufacturing processes and capabilities
• Develop methods and processes for the manufacture of new products
• Troubleshoot and improve of existing processes
• Design, construction and operation of Fixtures and equipment
• Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to support cost reduction
• Estimate production times and manufacturing capabilities
• Plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
• Prepares exhibits and reports with respect to productivity, quality of work, etc., as directed from managers
• Assists in the cross-training of individuals
• Assists staff with work related problems to improve job performance

Job Requirements

Qualification Requirements:
• 4-year engineering degree required; Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred

Training and/or experience:
• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to coach, train, facilitate, supervise, and lead teams effectively
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse work group
• Excellent written and verbal, communication skills
• Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks
• Ability to multi-task is required
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong analytical skills
