Job Description



To provide proactive general human resources support and perspectives to the business with an emphasis on building a highly productive culture.  Support is primarily provided in the staffing, employee relations and administration of benefits and compensation programs.  The Human Resources Business Partner will also specialize in multiple functional areas such as training, management development, community outreach, culture/work environment development, benefits, compensation, compliance, etc.

Essential Job Functions:
• Provides HR support, assistance and guidance  to employees within the company under the direction of the HR Business Partner and/or HR Leadership  
• Provide proactive HR support to enhance the work environment and culture of the organization.
• Coordinate with recruiting in the recruitment and onboarding of job applicants for both non-exempt and exempt positions.
• Conducts exit interviews and provides support of offboarding  employees departing the company, making recommendations to managers for improvement under the guidance and direction of the HR Business Partner and/or HR Leadership  
• Assists management and coaches employees in regards to employee relations concerns, including performance improvement plans and corrective action under the guidance and direction of the HR Business Partner and/or HR Leadership .  Monitors progress of such plans.
• Provides one point of contact for functional areas assigned to handle employee questions, concerns and suggestions.

Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.  Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Required Experience:

• Three to Five years of progressive experience as an HR Coordinator or Specialist
Preferred Experience:  
• One year or more experience as an HR Generalist
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and influence skills in dealing with all levels of employees and management and is effective at developing strong credibility and working relationships.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure within established time constraints, meet deadlines and objectives, and proactively take a customer service approach to activities
• Possess a team-oriented approach and the desire to help in other Human Resource areas as required
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required and proficiency in Oracle preferred
