Job Description



The ETL Developer role is a 100% development role working to develop the organization's data warehouse platform for existing and new clients. The primary role of this individual will be to design and develop ETL solutions utilizing best practices that support cost‐effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

• Design and develop ETL solutions in a data warehousing environment using SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and T-SQL
• Analyze data requirements, complex source data, and the data model, and determine the best methods in extracting, transforming and loading the data into the data staging, warehouse and other system integration projects.
• Test and validate SSIS/SSRS code, reports and packages.
• Troubleshoot ETL code failures and provide fixes.
• Develop documentation in a clear, concise manner which includes documenting ETL processes and work flows.
• Participate in design and technology reviews.

Job Requirements



• Expertise in designing, developing and testing ETL solutions.
• Expertise with MS SQL 2008/2012
• Expertise with MS SQL SSRS, SSIS packages, T-SQL
• Experience in OLAP and OLTP systems.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
• Highly self‐motivated, self‐directed, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‐pressure environment.

• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience working as a ETL developer.
• Must have experience working in a data warehousing environment.
• Must have extensive working with Microsoft SQL Server in a Windows environment.
• Must come from a “regulated environment” such as banking, financials healthcare, lottery or gaming industry
• Prior experience as a DBA is a plus
• Azure experience is a plus
