Job Description



Using sound systems, engineering and best practices, the Sr. Electrical Engineer works as part of the engineering team to design, develop, test and maintain PCBA’s, cables, and 3rd party electrical components for  Scientific Games’ core Terminal products, with focus on time to market, reliability and cost containment for both new and existing components.

• Circuit design of digital circuitry with EMI, EMC, cost and reliability as base practices
• Capable of PCB layout using best practices in PCB Layout tools such as PADS or Altium
• Design PC Based interface boards to work with our proprietary I/O devices.
• Work closely with all departments and managers to keep projects on schedule.
• Support, troubleshoot, and travel (if necessary) to correct field problems.
• Familiar with designs, and tests of electrical components and equipment.
• Familiar with some of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and can apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.
• Expected to use experience, judgment, creativity and to plan and accomplish goals.

Job Requirements



• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience designing circuits as an EE.
• Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in developing hardware circuits for electro-mechanical products
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout.
• Capable of troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.
• Capable of debugging a PC based architecture system.
• ADI Blackfin, ST and Atmel microprocessor design knowledge is a plus

• Intimately familiar with engineering disciplines of electrical engineering.
• Familiar with EMI, EMC and ESD best practices
• Familiar with functions of Manufacturing, Product Management, Quality Assurance.
• Work as part of a small team with variety of responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent analysis and effectively communicate findings.
• Can effectively articulate best practices in engineering and product development
• Can effectively describe product development design process and procedures
