Job Description



This position supports critical high-performance and scalable platform frameworks and components. Apply development operational skills for the support and maintenance of software systems for web based lottery systems. Strong analytical skills are required and the candidate must be proficient in infrastructure analysis and implementations. This position requires a well-rounded development operations candidate that has a willingness to work on a variety of projects and organizational needs.

Essential Job Functions:
• Establish and maintain client confidence by building out and maintaining quality system solutions within project timelines and budgetary limits.
• Respond to System problem calls (24x7) in a timely manner in order to avoid system downtime.
• Interacts and works successfully with other team members as well as other departments.
• Collect requirements for, design, and implement systems within the lottery environment.
• Work with the development teams on deploying, managing and supporting lottery applications.
• Contribute to design and development of tools, procedures, utilities and components.
• Work with Architecture team to evaluate processes and systems.
•  Work with Release team to determine schedule of work to be delivered.
• Assist the NOC engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues from clients.
• Create and maintain installation software for the different system components.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter in a small, focused software development team.

Job Requirements



Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience:
• Experience with development tools including debuggers, bug tracking and source control systems required
• MySQL on a Linux or Windows platform
• SQL Server Administration
• Source Control Administration
• Caching Server Administration
• Geo Location Server Administration
• Identity Server Administration
• Apache and IIs Administration
• MemCache ,Redis or similar Administration
• Vagrant ,VMWare and or other Virtualization Software Administration/Support
• AWS/Azure or internal Cloud Administration/Support/Setup/Billing
• 3-5 years working in a DEV OPS environment role

Preferred Experience:
• Source Control/Configuration Management
• Unix/Windows server administration experience preferred
• High availability support experience preferred
• Scripting experience in UNIX/Windows experience preferred
• AWS/Azure or cloud management with puppet or chef preferred
• Database programming and Administration experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
•  Candidates without DEV OPS experience but with operations and development experience will be considered
• Experience with the following, would be a plus: Perl, PHP, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Groovy.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge regarding Agile

Development processes and methodologies
• End to end software development lifecycle

Physical Requirements:
• Office environment – heavy computer use

Work Conditions:
• The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly.
• Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules.
• Travel required.
