Job Description



The cyber security Intern is a member of the cyber security operations team and works closely with the other members of the cyber security team in support of a comprehensive cyber security program. This role is an entry level Intern that is responsible for reviewing various cyber security logs to identify events that require escalated analysis. The cyber security Intern reports to the Cyber Security Manager for Scientific Games.

Job Requirements



Duties typically include planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data. Information security interns are expected to stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, to anticipate security breaches. They also are responsible for preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies that will effectively protect a network.

Additional duties may include:
• Review DLP, SIEM, Anti-Virus, Malware, and other Cyber Security logs.
• 21+ years of age
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university studying one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Cyber / Information Security, or Computer Information systems.
• Basic understanding of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools, and desktop security tools is preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of network traffic alerts to assess, prioritize and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms.
• Basic understanding of current cyber threats.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English, both in oral and written form
• Other tasks assigned
