Job Description



The person in this position under the supervision of the Parts Scheduling Supervisor conducts order scheduling and releasing activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Ensures coordination of materials, and that information is shared between the Production Control, Materials, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Accounting Departments to support successful product delivery to the customer.

Essential Job Functions:

• Enters, processes, schedules and tracks all system orders that are submitted including gaming parts, systems, inter-warehouse transfers, conversions, and gaming software.
• Creates manufacturing work orders related to customer service orders, systems orders, supplier rework, and internal rework requests.
• Conducts work order maintenance such as BOM changes, shortage allocations, and cancellations.
• Reviews general status of work orders to ensure that production schedules are being met.
• Investigates, corrects, or coordinates actions required to allow a work order to be ready for close out.
• Expedites material delivery to fulfill customer demands in a timely manner.
• Processes all orders in a timely manner, and monitors each order to make sure that it is precise and accurate.
• Ensure orders with special instructions ship accurately and on time.
• Work with inter-departments to ensure orders will run smoothly and effectively.
• Working knowledge of MAPICS, WMS and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Performs media configuration in WMS and reviews shipping regulations to ensure they are followed.

Job Requirements



Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience with a manufacturing or distribution company in a materials environment.
• Inventory or production control experience preferred; knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
• Some background in an MRP/ERP system.

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Conceptual knowledge of production and inventory control practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate and proficient in all MS Office applications.
• Self-directed and able to set priorities on a continuous basis.
• Knowledge of bills of material, manufacturing work orders, and shop floor control.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
