Job Description



Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities associated with the software procurements and delivery of Information Technology (IT) and related activities; including Software Publisher License Acquisition, Contract Review, Service Ticket Support, Purchase Order Entry, Tracking, and Reporting.  Ensures established processes, procedures, policies and IT standards are consistently followed throughout procure-to-pay process.  Individual will assist supporting software purchasing strategies to optimize costs, manage inventory, mitigate risk – security, audits, regulatory, and governance for SG’s cross-divisional purchases.  Will leverage third party tools, e.g. Oracle EBS, ServiceNow, FlexNet Manager and other vendor resources to ensure software license management best practices and optimized.  Maintain a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to promote positive working relationships inside and outside of SG.

Job Function:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
• Communicates effectively and promptly to internal users software requests and IT Service Ticket needs
• Assist in managing  third party software vendor relationships for IT Procurement, e.g. Microsoft, Adobe  
• Collaborate with IT, R&D & Engineering and Production Teams on IT Software Asset Management (SAM) needs.
• Experience utilizing procurement system technologies to reduce the total cost IT assets and services.
• Assist with leading cross-functional teams during software license agreement negotiations
• Analyzes software asset inventories, re-deployment, budget, purchases and compliance with policy
• Maintains, tracks software license assets, maintenance renewals, subscriptions, and related metrics
• Knowledge and understanding of various licensing models, e.g. Cloud, Enterprise, Capacity, Name Users
• Must work with IT operation staff and end users to help meet Service Ticket delivery timeframes
• Drive internal customers to identify and implement business process improvements.
• Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal issues.
• Assure internal controls are adequate and followed in order to protect SG assets.
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to travel as necessary.

Requirements:
• 2 - 5 years job-related work experience.
• Strong familiarity with software licensing, procurement processes and technology
• Proficiency with common software suites such as MS office suite
• Experience with various publishers: Microsoft, VMware, Adobe, IBM, Red hat, Autodesk, Atlassian, etc.
• Experience in IT Asset and Procurement tools is desirable, e.g. Oracle EBS, SCCM, Flexera, ServiceNow, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience working with ITSM (preferably ServiceNow) and ERP systems (preferably Oracle)
• Excellent analytical, research, mathematical, computer skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and forecasting abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
• Strategic thinker, with sound knowledge of strategic purchasing methods
• Proven negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure.  

Education:
• Associate’s degree in business, computer Science or related field
