Job Summary:

3D Artists / Animators work with the game team to concept, create, and deliver efficient and compelling 3D assets for a social casino game.  They should have the talent and ability to deliver exceptional quality in a timely manner across a variety of different styles ranging from photo realistic to cartoony.
The ideal candidate can take a model from concept to integration.  They are aware of the game limitations and are able to create amazing assets within them.  They are smart with their use of polygons and know how to efficiently unwrap a texture as to maximize space where it matters.  Collaboration is one of their favorite words and they are always looking for ways to expand their skillset.

Job Requirements



Essential Job Functions:

• Work closely with, and follow direction from, the Art Lead and Production staff.
• Independently produce high-quality art assets that adhere to established style conventions.
• Demonstrate ability to create efficient models and texture maps
• Demonstrate ability to follow dictated file structure and organization for delivery of art assets
• Demonstrate ability to provide all necessary assets and documentation within expected deadlines
• Continually sharpen artistic abilities through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members
• Display a high degree of professionalism at all times, accepting critique from Lead Artist, Production, and other team members
• Be prepared to learn new software and adapt to new development processes when necessary
• Share creative, technical, and development techniques with other team members within the studio

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Strong art foundation that includes:  Composition, visual hierarchy, color theory, anatomy, architechture, animation principles
• Exceptional talents in multiple artistic categories, including: 3D modeling & texturing, Animation, and FX
• High level of proficiency in two or more of the following software packages:  3D Studio Max, Maya, Unity, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator
• Supplementary skills that help facilitate art development, such as sketching/wireframing/storyboarding
• Experience in MS Office, JIRA, Confluence
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow direction and accept constructive criticism
• Ability to offer valid constructive criticism to co-workers
• Ability to learn, expand talents and skill sets
• Ability to explore new styles and self-assess abilities.
• All applicants MUST provide a Portfolio of professional and/or personal work in Web or Digital format to be considered for interview.  Portfolios should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s artistic talents and software proficiency.

Helpful Traits:
• Knowledge of asset version control tools such as SVN, GIT, Perforce or JIRA
• Experience in social game production
• Experience in SCRUM/Agile production
• Familiarity with popular Social Casino games

• Samples of sketch work (sketchbook or loose-leaf)
• 3D files and texture maps
• Animation samples

Qualifications:
• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Required Experience:  Minimum 3-4 years of experience
