We are seeking a Night Shift Computer Operator to join our Urbandale team. The Computer Operator’s position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of real-time transaction wagering systems.  An Operator will operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines. This position will also support field staffs with troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Night Schedule Hours:
5:15pm to 5:15am, 7 days on/7 days off (Thursday -Wednesday)

Job Functions:

• Ability to work a regularly scheduled night operations shift, and occasionally fill-in for other shifts
• Operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines
• Strong attention to detail is required to ensure all aspects of the operational environment are maintained
• Prioritize nightly processes to ensure performance of time critical schedule
• Run all programs and backups for production systems
• Ability to problem solve and gather data to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues
• Log and report or promptly escalate problems to management for resolution
• Must be able to execute tasks as assigned
• Ability to work with field service staff, retailer-base, and Lottery staff to troubleshoot and resolve different situations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Experience in LINUX and/or Microsoft products, and Windows based systems.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Strong time management skills

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Must have average organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described.
