Job Description

*Night Shift Openings*

The GNOC Operators are a tier 1, 24X7 operations team. They monitor, identify and escalate customer facing issues within the GNOC escalation structure. The team consists of entry level operators, who may become an Associate NOC Technician or NOC Technician. The GNOC Operator utilizes scripts, monitoring systems, and written procedures to run the day to day operation of lottery systems. These operations include compiling and printing system status reports, processing draws, and nightly processing.

Job Functions:
• Operates and monitors Windows and Linux based systems using established procedures
• Monitors systems in production and reports problems
• Utilizes incident management ticketing systems to report and document issues
• Performs notification and escalation for major issues and critical events per OLA
• Publishes shift status reports as required
• Performs basic LAN/WAN support
• Performs system processing utilizing established tools and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or GED
• Experience in LINUX, Microsoft products, and Windows based systems.
• A+ certification or 1-2 years’ work or study in a computer related field
• Basic networking concepts
• Microsoft office suite
• Familiar with ticketing systems
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Strong time management skills

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Must have average organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Ability to follow written processes and procedures
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting
