Job Description

The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for repair and maintenance of Scientific Games (SG) operated gaming equipment in customer facilities throughout Alberta. The majority of this work will be based in the your home province but on occasion this role could support provincial or Canada wide initiatives.

Under the supervision of the Field Services Supervisor or Manager you will be required to apply your troubleshooting techniques to resolve equipment malfunctions and ongoing maintenance of SG gaming equipment at various gaming locations.

Essential Job Functions
•Fault diagnosis and repair using tests and operational monitoring of gaming devices at customer locations.
•Ability to read and understand product service manuals
•Ongoing preventative maintenance of all operated devices
•Process of centrally dispatched service tickets and updating status/resolution in a timely manner.
•Familiarity with common PC/Small device repair tools and their ongoing management.
•Mechanical assembly including detailed device rebuilds
•Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type electronic/mechanical devices
•A working knowledge of PC/System based configuration and basic PC networking skills
•Core PC application skills to include the MS Office suite

Job Requirements

Position Requirements
Maintenance of SG product knowledge of both new and existing gaming products using supplied training.

Review of customer issues with management and tech support ensuring timely follow up and conclusion.

Self-management and daily coordination as this position is remote in nature.

Good communication and customer facing skills as well as the ability to communicate in writing.


Electronic/Electrical Technical Diploma or the equivalent demonstrable work experience.

Required Experience

Two or more years of experience of Field Service and Technical field repair preferred.

Customer service and service call response experience considered an asset.

New Technical school graduates may be considered if they can demonstrate a desire to work in the gaming industry.

Other Requirements

Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

May be able to obtain gaming licenses in all SG supplied Canadian Provinces.

Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada with the eligibility to work in all Canadian Provinces.
Must have or be able to obtain a passport for international travel purposes.

Working Conditions

This is a remote position and will be based from your home location.

This role will require rotating weekend on call support. Chaining business demand may dictate further on call duties in the future.

Will require travel to gaming sites on a regular basis and on occasion out of province or US travel.

Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds

Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, bend, reach, kneel, lie prone, hold, push, pull and lower as necessary

Must be able to discern discreet colours
