Job Description



The principal focus of this role is to ensure that SG Gaming has the appropriate analysis and data to make sound financial and strategic decisions possible. This role reports directly to the Business Analytics Manger and will be responsible for providing critical insight and translation of various business data metrics to make recommendations on key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have superb communication skills, and will be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy to understand manner.

Job Requirements



Responsibilities:
Build and maintain financial & business models, prepare strategic analysis for stakeholders to help answer high-priority questions, drive better understanding of business performance, optimize product portfolio and identify areas of opportunity.

• Effectively grasp complex business requirements and translate them in order to increase data visibility
• Work with large data sets and databases to produce recurring and ad-hoc reports/dashboards.
• Analyze data from various sources to provide concise direction and recommendations
• Provide trend analysis and actionable insight on key business metrics such as ship share, share of wallet, theme sell through, cabinet, conversion sales.
• Monitor competitor KPI’s and provide ad hoc analysis to support Executive Team
• Provide macro analysis on the gaming industry to help determine investment strategy for new & current products and markets
Qualifications:
Education:   Business degree, preferably with Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related discipline

Required Experience:   
• 2-5 years in a quantitative or analytical role.
• Casino gaming experience preferred but not required.
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Experienced in working with large data sets, database design, data mining, and modelling
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced MS Excel including VBA programming.
• Report Building and/or visualization experience (e.g. Tableau)
• Basic knowledge of HTML, SQL and at least one of the following advanced analytic tools: SAS, SQL, R

• Ability to deliver results at short notice
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent relational skills & organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and work with little or no supervision
• Experience diving into quantitative information with an eye for details
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with business teams at all levels.
