Job Description



The accounting specialist will be responsible for processing and paying a large volume of accounts payable invoices timely and accurately with minimal supervision.  

Job Functions:

• Responsible for accounts payable system (full cycle) including receipt of all invoices, sorting, review for approvals and account numbers, object codes, discounts payment terms, accounts payable related tax reporting, and releasing payments.
• Resolve problems and responds to non-routine inquiries relating to accounts payable records and office policy and operations.
• Communicate frequently with internal customers and outside vendors both verbally and in writing on matters relating to accounts payable transactions; acts as a liaison between departments and vendors
• Compile historical data and maintain a proper audit trail for Company records
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislation/regulations

Job Requirements



Qualifications:
• Minimum two years of Accounts Payable experience

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of standard accounts payable policies and procedures
• Ability to resolve issues with minimal direction in a professional and expedient manner
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of functions, intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
