Job Description

The person in this position is primarily responsible for performing monthly, quarterly and yearly general and International accounting functions for Scientific Games. This includes but is not limited to preparing journal entries and maintaining and reconciling assigned accounts in accordance with the framework and guidance of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Essential Job Functions:
• Preparation of Journal entries & Assist with monthly Oracle consolidation process
• Maintains and prepares account reconciliations to support account balances
• Performs responsibilities in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business, or 5+ years of comparable accounting experience, preferred
Required Experience:
• Minimum of  three years total of staff accountant or comparable accounting experience
• Hands on computer experience with general ledger accounting system is a must
• Account reconciliation experience of balance sheet and income statement

Preferred Experience:
• Oracle Software experience desirable, but not required
• Public company experience desirable, but not required
• Sarbanes Oxley experience desirable, but not required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively – written or orally
• Must have good computer skills and knowledge
• Must have multi-tasking experience and abilities
• Must be flexible on work schedule to meet defined goals within peak periods
• Must be able to effectively communicate at both the lowest and highest levels in the organization
• Must be detail oriented and well organized
