Job Description



The person in this position is primarily responsible for the reporting and analysis of revenue and related accounts, including sales allowance, deferred revenue, deferred costs, accounts receivable, and allowance for doubtful accounts. Works closely with Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and Sales Operations.

Job Functions:
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, specific to revenue recognition
• Accounting and reporting of revenue and deferred revenue
• Approving customer records and related contracts within the billing/revenue system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Processing contract amendments, credit memos and termination requests, including internal reporting of these metrics
• Work with Account Management, Business Operations and Legal to proactively manage appropriate revenue recognition application and/or customer disputes
• Complete audits of non-standard contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Completing monthly reporting and account reconciliation requirements, including revenue and variance analysis by customer
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX documentation
• Assisting with external audit requests
• Assist with efforts to improve upon and/or build out new processes to enhance the month end close process and timeline and scale overall revenue operations for future growth
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Sarbanes Oxley environment a plus

Education:  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively – written or orally
• Must have strong analytical reasoning
• Must have multi-tasking experience and abilities
• Must be able to effectively communicate at both the lowest and highest levels in the organization
• Must be detail oriented and well organized
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• Excellent understanding and application of US GAAP, including all areas related to revenue. SOX knowledge is a plus.
